They deviated from guild 2 in a few important aspects:Ġ) they introduced a new resource "influence", that you need to get new titles, apply for offices and are needed for several actions. In the last years they fixed hundreds of CTD issues, improved the graphics, debugged core mechanics, fixed the performance issues, introduced a new resource system, added a lot of professions, improved the market system and most notably - for the first time added a stable multi-player. They booted the responsible studio and brought in a capable one with purple lamp. There was literally not a single game mechanic that wasn't bugged. Even simple things like dragging an item or opening a drop down menu did not work reliably, let alone more complex things like market simulation, path finding or character collision. The longest I could play was ~10 min before crashing back to desktop. I bought it one month after EA release and it was a buggy, ugly, laggy, unplayable, steaming pile of sh*t. dynasty.Compared to launch of early access its night and day. Taking them over, and making them swear allegiance to your new kingdom. One day rivaling other cities and possibly challenging them in war and conquest. Or simply randomly created ones by the game that randomly join your settlement depending on the towns advancements and what it can offer. Options to convince dynasty families to move their homes to your new settlement. And paying for areas to be cleared of obstructions like trees/rocks etc. Creating the zones where buildings could be constructed. The starting mayor(player) would get to choose from a few basic town templates, and possibly editing the design of such. At least until there were more people living there and a council is formed. I think it would be cool if a player could create a settlement from scratch in an uninhabited area of a map.(Not every map, just the wide open and empty ones) Using their own built up stock of resources and money, they would start out as the founder of the town, and mayor. Several maps in G2R were quite large and empty.
